Attention @everyone, the staff team would like to address a concerning matter that was brought up recently:
1. The staff team has been informed that an entrusted staff member of this community, Kah (sharkbirdd), had looked up a staff member’s private social media and information online. When this staff member asked Kah why they did it, Kah's response was “No big reason, I just thought about it”. This staff member in question is the same one Guluz had taken a screenshot of their face. We do want to note that these incidents happened in the same week, this staff member had their private information searched for by two separate people which influenced their reason for not coming forward right away. For this reason, we have promptly responded by removing Kah from our staff team and permanently banning her from our server.
2. Going forward, a formal guideline will be put into place on how staff should handle reported issues. What type of situations are allowed and not allowed, how staff should deal with the situation, and how to ensure the community's safety. This will all include transparency, protecting the victim, and noticing red flags early on to ensure full accountability is upheld for everyone, regardless of who are involved. Mod commands on what sort of topics are allowed and not allowed will be added to the server, as well as having more members of the staff involved in future discussions.
3. For your own and everyone else’s safety, we ask that you keep personal info sharing to a minimum in this server. This includes but is not limited to your address, phone number, school, workplace, social media or any other details that would risk identifying you or anyone else here in our server. Oversharing may place you at risk regardless of which communities you’re participating in. Whenever in doubt, **KEEP IT PRIVATE.**
# Once you post anything, it can spread anywhere. Think twice before you post.
If someone chooses to not share something, please respect their boundaries and refrain from asking any further. Should there be any suspicious behaviour, please report it to our staff team.
*We would like to reiterate that we prioritize the safety and security for everyone in this server. We have ZERO TOLERATION towards any doxxing/stalking behaviour in our community, any violations regarding these behaviour will result in appropriate action. We would like to take this opportunity to ask everyone to please come forward if you or if someone you know says they are being harassed and/or have your private information. You can inform any staff member you are comfortable with, and you have the right to remain anonymous when the situation is being discussed with staff.*
*Also, we ask everyone in the community to not engage with Kah or harass her in any way regarding the situation. Should you receive a DM from her and it makes you feel uncomfortable, it is best to just ignore and block her.*
