Kah is innocent

Written by Cagle

On Saturday, February 28th at 8:23P CST, the Aliens of Club Penguin announced that they had demoted and permanently banned Kah following allegations that she had stalked/doxxed a fellow staff member. The allegations imply that Kah intentionally invaded the staff member's privacy, comparing her to another staff member who was previously dismissed for behaving maliciously.

These allegations are entirely false. The staff and leaders of Aliens are intentionally slandering Kah in retaliation to a separate event that did not involve her.

This post is a comprehensive proof of her innocence. I will attempt to answer any question you are likely to have, but I'm willing to answer more in DMs. My Discord name is thecagle.

Note: I am personally involved in this story, which means I inherently have bias. However, I will attempt to back up my claims with message archives pulled using a browser extension called DiscordKit.

Unfortunately, I do not have full archives for discussions had after 5PM CST on February 27th, as that is the moment I left the Aliens server. If anybody from Aliens feels I have been untruthful, they are more than welcome to publish their own archives.

However, I do have archives of staff channels from before that date. I am working on a fully documented write-up explaining how we got to this point.

Chapter 1 - The allegations

Kah was a longtime, trusted member of the Aliens community. Her contributions to the community were invaluable. Most notably, her incredible artwork could be found all over Aliens. From the server's banner, to the profile pictures of all three leaders. With her kind personality and serious dedication, it was no wonder she was promoted to staff only two months after joining Aliens.

That why I, and many others, were shocked to read Brian's announcement accusing Kah of doxxing/stalking another staff member.

The staff member that Kah is alleged to have doxxed is Ams (amcercate). Ams is one of the two highest-ranking members in Aliens. Her position is referred to as a "leader".

In section 1 of the official statement from Aliens, it is heavily implied that Kah intentionally went out of her way to uncover personal information about Ams.

Additionally, to bolster claims to Ams's victimhood, Kah is compared to Guluz. Guluz was removed from Aliens in late January following revelations that he had leaked messages from private staff channels. After his removal, it was discovered that he had been behaving creepily towards Ams and other members of Aliens.

Not only did they accuse Kah of doxxing, but they directly compared her to somebody who has acted with actual malice.

The removal of Guluz may be covered at a later date, however I feel it's important to point out this comparison now as it highlights leadership's desperation to criminalize Kah.

Chapter 2 - Kah's response

On March 1st at 1:23P CST, Kah posted her response to these allegations. Because she was banned from Aliens, she was forced to post this response to a server I made after my personal fallout with Aliens leadership.

In her response, Kah admits that she did in fact find Ams on Google. Out of curiosity, she made a simple Google search, found a public social media profile, and immediately "closed everything". Kah states that she felt terrible for finding anything, and told Ams that her personal profile was public. She even gave Ams advice on hiding her profiles. Kah notes that Ams appeared grateful that this was brought to her attention, even after Kah offered to leave Aliens out of guilt.

This all happened mid-January, and it was never a problem. It was only after I had my personal fallout with Aliens in late-February that Ams decided she was a "victim". On a personal note, that seems rather peculiar, and I'm not the only one who feels this way.

As nice as Kah is, even she couldn't stomach the blatant lies about her. She made it very clear that she did not doxx Ams. She didn't copy or share any of Ams's personal information (all of which has been publicly published by Ams herself, mind you).

Whether or not you think Kah was wrong to use Google, this is clearly not a case of doxxing, stalking, or anything akin. Yes, Kah may have made a silly mistake out of curiosity. However, she was NOT acting maliciously. Kah made every effort to not only be fully transparent with Ams, but help Ams to protect her information from truly malicious actors.

And to reiterate, this interaction between Kah and Ams happened in mid-January. It wasn't until 24 hours after I left Aliens that Ams decided that Kah had "victimized" her.

This is just the latest instance of a repeated pattern of Ams claiming victimhood to avoid accountability. This too will be covered at a later date.

Personal note: Out of respect for Ams, Kah has indicated that she does not want me to publish the conversation she had with Ams when Kah found her profile. However, I have read this conversation myself. I can personally attest that Ams was not angry with Kah, and the two worked together to find a way to disconnect Ams's personal profile from her CPAB profiles.

Ams has not taken the steps to hide her profile. The account in question is still listed as a public account, visible to anybody. In my opinion, this bolsters the idea that Ams accused Kah purely out of relatiation. Clearly, she cares less about keeping her stuff private, and more about smearing Kah.

Chapter 3 - The Aftermath

When Brian forwarded the announcement to space-lounge, Aliens's main chat channel, many showed sympathy towards the staff team. This is understandable, as they had been led to believe that Kah was a doxxer, and nobody wants to condone a doxxer.

When non-staff members of Aliens began asking for details, many of the staff members, including Stellar General Cuddlesome, were persistent with their secretive and deceptive framing of Kah.

Even into the next day, troops were questioning how it is that viewing a public social media profile could be considered private information.

While the staff stayed silent on the issue in space-lounge, they showed their frustration in their private channels. In this case, Cuddlesome allegedly insinuated that troops should be punished for questioning their story, saying that Josiah should receive a warning for these messages.

Not all of the staff members were pleased with the outcome. Besides myself and Kah, a total of 5 other staff members left Aliens after this debacle. Almost all of those 5 left purely out of disgust for how Kah was treated.

The allegations against Kah weren't a warning, they were slander.

The Aliens need to immediately remove their post about her, and issue an formal apology. This is entirely unacceptable.
